PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Proposed local law No. 1 of 2021

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE  that a public hearing will be held by The Clermont Town Board on Monday November 1st, 2021 at 6:45 PM at the Clermont Town Hall 1795 Route 9, Germantown, NY 12526. At that time, all interested persons on the proposed local law No. 1 of 2021 opting out of allowing cannabis retail dispensaries and on-site consumption sites as authorized under Cannabis Law Article 4 will be given an opportunity to be heard in person.  

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that a copy of the proposed law is available for review in the Town Clerk’s office at 1795 Route 9, Germantown, NY 12526 during regular business hours.

TOWN OF CLERMONT IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION:

One (1) Seasonal Temporary Laborer

This position will run from July 1st through October 15, 2021

Salary: $20/HR

Hours: Two weekdays/week for 2 hours/shift. Timing is flexible and weather-dependent. There are NO paid holidays and NO medical benefits

Work Activities: (ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY) Performs a variety of groundskeeping activities including but not limited to trimming lawns, watering, planting, and weeding; trash removal on park grounds; carrying supplies and tools.

Supervision: Laborer will report to Councilperson Lusher Shute or the Town Supervisor. Laborers must be willing to perform routine manual work; have the ability to operate a weed whacker; have physical endurance; and be in good physical condition.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be 18-years of age or older. Some experience in manual labor is desirable. Must be prompt, self-directed, and communicative.
